Off topic post: RIP Steve Jobs

I’m sure I speak for pretty much everyone in the RISC OS community when I say RIP to Steve Jobs. I may have come from the Acorn side of the divide but that doesn’t stop me from appreciating the massive, mostly positive influence Apple have had on computing as we know it today.

Yes – terrible news for his family, friends and colleagues. He was unarguably of key importance in the evolution of IT as we know it.

No, it isn’t. As a long-term, experienced, active user of RISC OS, I’m sure you don’t need me to remind you that loading any OSNews link under NetSurf redirects you to the mobile site, which only shows the oldest 10 comments of over 800, and a comment by “FunkyELF” is not among them.

OSNews have a link at the bottom of the page to opt out of the mobile version.
