The netbook and therefore smartbook trends have mostly fizzled out, but they’re not completely dead yet. http://www.engadget.com/2011/10/19/vodafone-brings-arm-and-ubuntu-together-for-south-african-webboo/ 1499 South African Rand, or US$185 or UKP116 or so. It looks like fairly similar specs to the Efika MX Netbook. Slow compared to x86 stuff, but faster than a standard Beagleboard… |

They seem to be focusing on multi-core stuff now, don’t they? And/or keeping quiet on developments until happy that Windows 8 will run satisfactorily?
