Voting now open for the RISCOScode Awards 2011

As 2011 draws to a close, it’s traditional to reflect
upon how the year has gone. At a time of festivity,
it’s right to focus on the positive and make a small
effort to capture and emphasise the things that made
2011 a good year for RISC OS.

For the first time since our launch in 2008, RISCOScode
is organising an awards event. Drobe used to do these,
then the IconBar took over, but last year there were none.
So, this to resurrect the annual event.

No expense has been spared; A specially designed Acorn
Nut Trophy will be presented to each category winner in
the new year.

For the first time, each nomination is also a link to the
relevant website or other source of further information.
So, voters are able to easily make informed decisions
about what to vote for.

Good to see someone taking over the mantle for these awards.

I wonder if you could save yourself some work by using something to build an online survey, like this: http://freeonlinesurveys.com/ or similar?

It might save some work; I guess there must be a break even point.
So, if one person votes it’ll be quicker by hand but if 10000 vote the tool would be needed.
So far I’ve had 11 emails and two tweets x 10 days = 130 responses.
That’ll take far less time to process than a single homework from one of my classes ;-)
Worth knowing about though.
Perhaps there will be a ton of ‘last minute’ votes….
