22 Dec 2011 ROM image

Is there a problem with the current ROM image? I have tried it (with no cmos file) and my Beagleboard XM (ARMini) will not enter RISC OS, not even as far as the beep, let alone see anything on the screen or look for a boot drive. If I go back to the July 2011 ROM image or the OS2 beta (4 Dec 2011) then it starts up OK [problem with ping which is with R-comp].

Further investigation suggests that this may be related to the SD card contents (I saw an error on starting up Linux GUI ‘two orphan indexes detected’ and the problem recurs after copying a file onto the SD card). Any ideas please?

Happy New Year Chris! It looks as if you’ve probably missed 22nd Dec Disc build issues.

If the ROM build malfunctions so badly, shouldn’t it be pulled from the ROOL site?

I thought that thread was about the HardDisc image not the ROM image.

A further thought occurs to me – is the entry point (ROM + 0) still correct?

Both 22nd Dec ROM and 22nd Dec HardDisc image have issues.
