I have seen some TFT displays dirt cheap on the banggood site. Not a lot of tech info but it appears that they use SPI and most likely contain a clone of the ILI9341 controller. |

That model sounds familiar. I think I have one of those. I haven’t looked ast SPI in RISC OS although I’d like to. They aren’t bad little TFTs (If I’m right about model). Definitely not for playing video. I’ve messed with them on Arduino. Not terribly hard to drive, but there are a couple of gotchas.
Any of these off little boards I’ve usually written all over with a sharpie. Chip type, pin label amendments if needed, voltage, logic voltage etc. If the backlight doesn’t work, try earthing it. Some Chinese TFT boards arrange the backlight that way. Of course, all this may be wrong. I’ll have to go digging. e: Sorry. I was wrong. What I have uses an ILI9163. I’ll leave this info here in case anyone wants to use that. |
