URL conversion

Is there any existing utility/module that can convert the %xx representations in an URL back to real : / etc
I imagine it is in the awk/sed area but will try for something simpler.
Some websites obviously have to do it as well as cropping there own real URL from the front.
Edit: It appears the correct terminology is URLdecode. I have found a few examples in C/C++ on the internet.

your link needs to be http not https. For me
strstr(url,"=http")
was handy to decide if any decoding was necessary so C was my choice, though urlDecode() should be safe to run on non-encoded url also.
I’m intercepting https from Phoenix via an extra https url macro in Boot&Run and then processing before using wget.
There will possibly be substrings to move from the url to the wget command if things go to plan.
Having said that, this site’s search form (method=get) is working OK as part of the url, being unencrypted I guess.
Does method=post always get used for encrypted forms?

Curious. The method, as always, was:
quote before the visible text quote after followed by colon and then copy paste the URL taken from the browser URL panel.

Mmm It works here in Opera too, It was wget that refused until I used http
I’ve found that wget on this Linux Laptop will get either https or http version of the url.
It looks like the RISC OS wget really did have an SSL error, and it’s library is out of date already. I base this on the fact the linux laptop will be continually updating it’s shared SSL library. I’ll try a manual autobuild sometime.
Edit: Newer version of RISC OS wget fixed this problem.
