Riscos.info - Site Down?

Hello Forum, is it just me, or is the riscos.info website (and with it ‘Pacman’) down and unreachable? — |

I can’t reach it. It resolves to 199.204.184.110. It appears to be up, but the ports are being filtered so maybe a firewall was reconfigured and accidently blocked all incoming ports? |

How do you determine that? http://ping.eu/ping/ shows 100% packet loss, so to me it looks like the server isn’t responding at all… |

It turns out I can get into it via IPv6, but all IPv4 and some IPv6 routing is broken. I have a ticket open with the hosting company (who don’t work weekends :( ) I’ll put updates on http://www.markettos.org.uk/riscos.info/ It looks like in future I need to look at failover for at least the Packman repository… |

Ping’s pretty unreliable on the modern web. I just tried to connect to a bunch of different ports, and packets weren’t dropped, so must be filtered like a firewall. Personally I set my firewalls to drop so people can’t tell if I’m online or not. |

It now has imperfect IPv4 connectivity, so I’ve triaged so that www.riscos.info (and thus Packman repos) is now functional. Email and other things await further response to my ticket. |

Is it down again? I get timeouts with the PC and with the Pi in RO. |

Funny. I just checked that myself a couple of minutes ago. Talk about timing. I’m putting together a fresh RO system disc. Or at least trying to. |

It’s back up. PackMan seems to be missing a large portion of the packages. I wonder what happened? e: nm. Most of the repositories were disabled on packman on my new install for some reason. |
