Putty

Hi all. Putty just stop working with my server. I suspect a too old version, incompatible with the current version of OpenSSH. Nota: OpenSSH form riscos.info simply not working for sftp, for another reason. |

The problem for a new port is the lack of autoconf under RISC OS. Or the help of Ronald May, who did have a newer version of PuttyTools. |

I’ve been using a port of Putty tools 0.67 for a while. Seems to work OK. I can make it available for download if you want to try it. |

I used my ports and Confix frontend to connect to OpenWRT recently, but I am still using Iyonix, Can the new GCCSDK stuff include speedups for newer processors? I guess it makes the ports specific if that is the case. Either way my frontend should still work with newer binaries. The Confix Tabbed interface is not RISC OS style guide compliant I gather, maybe something like a Windows interface I guess. It allows you to recall several connections, set up keys or password etc. |

Yep, good idea. We’ll try.
For the homepage, I can provide you a subdomain of RISC OS FR (it’s free, of course). But please note that – for now – psftp will not work with the version of OpenSSH server used on CentOS :) |

Ideally the ports should be set up in the autobuilder. |

Not only. Putty was in the autobuilder, but not anymore. First step, to get a Putty port modern enough to connect to a CentOS server. |

Ron saved us with a new version of psftp. I’ll post the binary later on RISC OS FR. |

I would like to use a sftp client for RISC OS. I understand that Chris has one, I would love to use that. My provider where I host a new website asks to use SFTP to upload the site. May I ask if I can have that sftp tool working under RISC OS? I tried Filezilla under linux, but I don’t like that very much at all. I prefer using RISC OS tools. Even so when that is a command line tool I still like that better than FileZilla under linux. |
