RMEnsure and packaging

Is this a sensible thought?

Modify the RMEnsure function, so that instead of failing, it optionally hands on the module details to a package manager, which then fetches and installs the module, (if it is a managed one) and then loads it.

If this fails, the RMEnsure fails as it would usually.
