ROOL Administration

I have just looked at the total given towards administration, just over £500.
A lot more than this could have been collected by now if ROOL had set up a scheme for monthly donations by standing order. This is what most charities and not-for-profit organisations do. You ask supporters to give a little each month, say GBP5. If only 50 folk do this, you have an income of GBP3000 per year. (Fifty folk is only about 3% of the registered users of this website.)
It works because few people miss GBP5 a month. They set up the standing order and forget about it.

Thanks for the suggestion – standing orders is a good idea. As a side-note, that total isn’t a constant because we do occasionally re-distribute it into other places (e.g. across other open bounties) and similar. I think most of our income has probably come from sales of the DDE, followed by the USB sticks, rather than donations.
