Anyone have any thoughts on this Cortex-A8 chip? |

The third one there on that list looks like a good target for RISC OS with all the documentation being released. Is anyone working on this? |

Although it’s easy to find a datasheet for the Allwinner A10, I can’t see any obvious signs of a TRM. That would make developing a port tricky – we’d be limited to reverse-engineering the Linux drivers. |

It’s around somewhere, maybe this (if still live), also interest in other ports (ignore the OT nappy stuff). |

This mere 72-page one? Agreed that that the TRM is elusive. |

Ooo, I was at university with Luke Leighton, although haven’t seen him since! |

He’s “3rd” from me on LinkedIn. Do you fancy please getting in touch with him, Bryan (address in around somewhere)? |

In the vein of the Cotton Candy, there’s apparently a cheaper AllWinner near-equivalent too. |

Looks like documentation for the A10 doesn’t exist, anywhere, not even in Chinese (Luke Leighton again) |

Another interesting installment on working with Chinese factories. And a salutary lesson about reverse engineering. |
