Pi (256MB) freezing w RC6, debug?

When launching with the RC6 boot image burnt to SD, my (256MB) RPi is still randomly freezing during boot. Often it’ll make it as far as the desktop, once even as far as font scanning, but usually freezes during “rainbow” splash screen. With USB keybd (Apple extended) & mouse (MS 4500 wired) attached, it’ll often freeze after the first couple mouse events. I’m just wondering whether others are seeing this as well, and the easiest way to debug the problem? I have the FTDI-based USB console cable (from Adafruit’s RPi Intro Kit) and can wire it up to the RPi GPIOs to get console, if that’s best approach, but wanted to ask first if that is best approach. For reference, my RPi boots and runs the various RPi-distributed Linux images fine with same USB keybd & mouse, etc. Thanks for any help solving this issue, I really want to get a working RISCOS desktop on my RPi. |

I’ve seen other reports of problems when using an Apple keyboard. Do you have another more standard keyboard you can try? Or try plugging the mouse and keyboard into a powered hub. |

Yep, I have a “normal/basic” MS USB wired keyboard I can try instead, will do so and report back with results. Thanks! |
