Multi-boot on Pandaboard?

Is it possible to develop a RISC OS ROM image that provides sufficient to interact with the user to offer a choice of operating system images (by examining the FAT partition and listing any files that start ‘riscos’ or have an ending of ‘/img’) so that you have, in effect, a multi-boot capability? This can be dome at the moment if you add a serial terminal and interact with the board as it starts up (so it must be possible). On the Iyonix a similar capability (but for RISC OS only) can be provided via the softload mechanism. Hence a daily development rom can be safely tried out on the Iyonix. After all we want to encourage users to try out the daily development builds don’t we? |

I’d suggest having a look at U-Boot which is currently being used as bootloader – does it not have enough drivers to accept USB input rather than serial input? |
