Oops I’m not totally off my trolley, what I meant to write was:
“Mmm I could have sworn that you could plug a PS/2 KEYBOARD into to an Arc.”

Physically you could, but you might fry the keyboard or the socket. It was only the a7000/RiscPC and onwards where they changed to the PS/2 spec for nice and keyboards.

From your pinout I can’t see why it should damage the keyboard or mouse.

But as everyone has said it doesn’t work. Trying it doesn’t seem to have damaged anything. My memory is obviously not as good as I thought.

Still planning to go ahead with previous plan, but I also have need to connect a standard PC serial trackball.

I know there are USB-DB9 adapters that work on the Pi, do any of them work under RiscOS?

While it is not necessary that I have one that works under RiscOS, I want to prevent buying 2 if there are ones that do work and ones that don’t.
