That is a little confusing – surely ‘RISC OS on Linux’ is a thread. The subforum is ‘Porting RISC OS’ – though for this quary the ‘RPCEmu’ subforum would be more appropriate. |

Oh dear, that’s what I meant indeed. See how confusing it is? |

I too have this problem on Linux Mint so am not surprised you have it on Ubuntu. You have to go to Settings → Full screen before you reach the desktop. Make sure that the cursor moves down on the menu bar from above. I always found that if the cursor crosses the RPCEmu window, you lose control of it. |

I was beginning to think I’d posted this reply in the wrong topic. I’ve looked back to check on the chap I thought I was answering and couldn’t find his name or his query. I’ve done a search on the whole forum and can’t find any trace of him in the last week. Has he been removed as a suspected spammer? |

The posting you quoted is the next to last on page 1 of this thread. The poster’s name is Steve. Are we both talking about the same thing? |

Aahh! Couldn’t see for looking. I blame my advancing years. Perhaps he just hasn’t had time to revisit the forum. |

Hi John, Thanks for the insight, it works! But, it’s a bit like playing darts isn’t it… |

An alternative (which still doesn’t give you what you’re after) is to allow RPCEmu to finish booting. Then select ‘Full screen’ from the settings menu. If you now hold It’s a cheat, but it’s an option. |

That should read: if you now hold ALT … If you have the Gnome desktop or a variant thereof, the trackpad can respond to left, middle and right clicks. I think the default is two fingers = right, three fingers = middle, but if you install gnome-tweaks you can set it to depend on the position of your finger on the trackpad. It might be possible to do this in other desktops, but I haven’t tried; KDE was at version 2 when I last used it. |
