Whereas with a touch pad, tap and hold is the usual method of beginning a drag operation. Something pretty useful on a desktop machine but fairly rare on a mobile device.

True. I’d completely forgotten about dragging despite using it all the time (thanks, brain!). Getting this all working on a screen would be tricky!
