RISC OS Open look forward to seeing you at the 20th Wakefield show, this Saturday 25th April 2015.
On stand 13, with a bit of luck, there will be a wide array of machines set up with RISC OS 5.22 – the new stable release – making its first public outing. Packed with over 450 changes and improvements since the last version in 2013. If you bought RISC OS 5.20 in physical ROMs for a Risc PC you can bring along your those ROMs as a trade in against the new version, subject to availability.
For the inventor in you there will be the recently updated Pico on micro SD card, which is suitable for the mark 2 Raspberry Pi as well as the earlier models. You can chip in to help assemble a USB controlled robot arm which the Pico can control with just a few lines of BBC BASIC.
And as if that isn’t enough, there’ll be news of a new set of printed books for developers (don’t forget to bring your serial number for a developer discount) and an overhaul of the ever popular NutPi, both of which can be ordered on the day.
ROOL has the 12 noon theatre slot. This will be a good opportunity to hear more details of these recent developments and how you can get involved.
