Set your clocks for this year’s London Show at the St. Giles hotel, Feltham, on Saturday 28th October. The show is open to the public from 11am to 5pm, which also happens to be the last day of summer time in the UK.
What’s occurring?
The show will mark the jubilant release of a fully revised BBC BASIC Reference Manual with some 25 years worth of updates since Acorn’s copy in October 1992 – time flies when you’re having fun. This new PRINT:RUN
will be available to buy on the day, priced at £25.00 (no VAT).
As if that wasn’t enough to delight and amaze, we’ll also be launching DDE 28, the official development tools for RISC OS. Aside from new features and bug fixes this edition includes electronic copies of the Desktop Development Tools box set – handy for quickly searching and clicking between books, and also if you’re short on shelf space for the physical copies. Existing developers can update for £25.00 (inc VAT) and a new seat costs £50.00 (inc VAT).
We’ll have a selection of merchandise with us to buy as well, including:
- ePic and RISC OS Pi for the Raspberry Pi
- RISC OS 5.22 ROM sets
- ROOL branded USB Emulator sticks
- Desktop Development Tools and Style Guides for developers
- Badges for everyone else
Talk time
We plan to be presenting our usual round-up of events from around the RISC OS community over the past year, as well as a sneak peak at what’s planned for the near future.
We’ll be manning the stand until 5pm, so if you have any questions about the ROOL project and its aims now is a great time to ask.
And if none of the above grabs your interest someone will be on hand to relieve you of cash or cheques to a nominated bounty to help improve RISC OS in the future.
