RISC OS Open attending Wakefield Show

RISC OS Open are happy to announce that we will be attending this year’s Wakefield Show on Saturday 16th April.

Wakefield 2016 will be held in the Cedar Court Hotel, Calder Grove near Wakefield and next to junction 39 of the M1. The full address is:

The bonus binaries launched last October have just gained a whole extra utility application, !Connector, originally written by Andreas Zieringer for the Archimedes.

Connector¹ is a terminal emulator program which supports the XModem, YModem, ZModem and plain ASCII protocols to transfer files and data with a remote terminal.

RISC OS Open attending South West show

RISC OS Open are happy to announce that we will be attending this year’s RISC OS South West Show on Saturday 27th February. Situated 25 miles south of Bristol, just off junction 22 of the M5, at the Webbington Hotel.

The stand will be packed with a range of merchandise from our store including the DDE Manuals box set and Style Guide. Don’t forget your developer number to get a 20% discount off these items.

We’ve also recently updated the USB stick with emulator for PC, Mac, and Linux based around RPCEmu 0.8.14 which runs ‘out of the tin’ with RISC OS 5.22.

Preview of a whole new RISC OS platform

Visitors to the London show this weekend may wish to drop by the ROOL stand to take a sneak peek at a brand new Cortex-A15 motherboard designed with RISC OS in mind, which has kindly been loaned to ROOL for the duration of the show.
