Join us on stand 15 at the Wakefield show this weekend and witness previously unheard of amounts of storage on RISC OS. We’ll be demonstrating a 2TB (yes, that’s 2,000,000,000,000 or 2 × 10 12 bytes) drive in native Acorn FileCore format attached directly to the disc controller.

It’s been long anticipated after the record success of our previous hit (RC14) in February 2015, but the wait is over.
Right up to date support for the latest ARMv8 in the main OS ROM, bundled with hundreds of fixes and improvements to the OS. The previous release was based on RISC OS 5.21 which was current at the time.
There are new and updated applications on the disc too, as well significant improvements completed thanks to donations in the form of updated JPEG support, EDID monitor detection and the first few pieces of USB work.

The bounty to implement EDID support, a standard where the monitor provides information about its size and capabilities, has recently been completed – another important step forward in making RISC OS easier to use with modern peripherals.
