Mostly a bug fix release. Ticket tracks progress of patching the ROOL Typo to the new version.

Typo 5 now out. It was worth waiting, since Typo 5 works on Rails 2 and has a lot of internal tidying. The hard part will probably be the theme merges.

Some concerns have been raised on the Typo mailing list over 5.0.2 and caching; may be worth holding off until the solution is found, and/or upgrade to the newest version 4 release as an interim measure.

Typo finished with Rails 2 compatibility at around 5.5. Its now on a Rails 3 only version 6.x release cycle, which has caused some instability though it’ll doubtless settle down in time.
There are currently no compelling reasons to upgrade our Typo core, since it’s used for such a simple task and does everything we need it to.
