Wiki text and links
Reported by: | Alan Robertson (52) | Severity: | Minor |
Part: | Legacy: I2 (old Wiki) | Release: | |
Milestone: | Status | Fixed |
Details by Alan Robertson (52):
When editing a page in the documenation area, the background web page (containing the textile instructions) overlap with the text area box and hance makes it difficult to make changes without copying and pasting into a text editor and then copying it all back in to the text box again.
I understand why the textile instructions are there, but it really is quite obtrusive. I’ve tried using Chrome and FireFox to see if it is a browser problem, but it doesn’t make any difference.
Is it possible to remove the offending text/links?

- Status changed from Open to Fixed
A wide enough browser window stops the overlap, which was due to a CSS hack used to work around faults in Gecko and Webkit behaviour when rendering preformatted text inside table cells. Since the cure seems worse than the disease in a number of areas, including the one you highlight, I’ve reverted that change. When you edit things on the WIki, the form should be formatted much more sensibly now.
Closing this, but feel free to re-open if you continue to see problems.
