Ticket #293 (WorksForMe)Fri Jul 15 10:08:15 UTC 2011
Beagleboard xM Rev. C does not power on some hardware.
Reported by: | Adam (531) | Severity: | Normal |
Part: | RISC OS: General | Release: | |
Milestone: | Status | WorksForMe |
Details by Adam (531):
When booting a fully configured setup from a Beagleboard xM Rev. B, the rom boots, but does not find the USB devices (Keyboard, Mouse, USB stick) and as such isn’t very useful.
I believe this is due to a difference in hardware from Rev. B to Rev. C as the power management setup has changed.

How old is the ROM image that you’re using? As far as I know any ROM from May 26th or newer should work fine on the Rev C.
You’ll also want to make sure that you’re using Rev C compatible versions of x-loader and u-boot. e.g. from the card that came with the new board, or from xM test images on the Circuit Co support wiki – http://www.circuitco.com/support/index.php?titl…
If you were using the wrong x-loader & u-boot then you’ll also want to make sure you’re using the latest version of SDCreate, 1.15 (which should be included in the ROM download), otherwise u-boot won’t load the ROM image because it can’t find the uenv.txt file.

- Status changed from Open to WorksForMe
Assuming this has gone away as all RComp units are rev C xM’s and no problems seen.
