Changing RPi screen blank delay resulted in empty 'Monitor' obey file
Reported by: | Chris Craig (390) | Severity: | Normal |
Part: | RISC OS: Application | Release: | |
Milestone: | Status | WorksForMe |
Details by Chris Craig (390):
I attempted to change the Blank delay on “Configure” “Screen” after reset the HMDI screen setting was lost – blessed with Mode 28. On investigation. Boot – Choices – Boot – Predesk – Configure – Monitor Obey file was empty. Luckily I was able to copy a back up file. Should HDMI be listed as a monitor type?

Tried each blank delay setting (from ‘off’ up to 30 mins) on Raspberry Pi RC8, and checked the monitor obey file after each set operation. All times the LoadModeFile string was correctly output.
I did note (as I have a bench powersupply) that the current during the save operation went up to 570mA. This is more than a standard USB port is specced to power, so it seems reasonable that there was a PSU problem during the save.
