- Summary changed from EtherUSB data corruption with LAN9512 (Raspberry Pi) in 10Mbit mode to EtherUSB SMSC95xx backend doesn't support 10Mbps operation
Having tried to recreate this (without a 10M switch) by either manually configuring the link to “10 Full” or “10 Half” or by nobbling the internal capabilities struct to pretend 100Mbps isn’t supported, I generally get error #3 (Device is broken or misbehaving).
There’s only 2 places that error is generated and one is in the auto setup, which I’m not using, so I assume it’s the PHY reset that’s timed out.
In the ReadMe for EtherUSB it does state that 10M operation is not supported by the SMSC backend, so I’m surprised you got any data at all through the link. Hence, changing the ticket title – the functionality that is being reported as not working is known to not work.
