Long file names in HardDisc4 image
Reported by: | Cameron Cawley (3514) | Severity: | Normal |
Part: | RISC OS: Boot sequence | Release: | |
Milestone: | Status | Fixed |
Details by Cameron Cawley (3514):
The following files in the nightly HardDisc4 image have long file names which will be truncated on drives that don’t support it:
- System.350.Modules.CompressPNG
- System.500.Modules.VideoOverlay
- !Boot.RO500Hook.Boot.PreDesk.SoftSCSI.SCSISoftUSB
- !Boot.RO510Hook.Boot.PreDesk.SoftSCSI.SCSISoftUSB
Changelog:
Modified by Sprow (202) Wed, July 12 2023 - 17:34:20 GMT
- Status changed from Open to Fixed
CompressPNG now called PCompMod (less than 10 letters).
The ‘500’ ones seem benign since SCSISoftUSB has existed since Iyonix times, the assumption seems to be nobody would be mad enough to have a short filenames disc created post RISC OS 5.
