"Current ROM" option in SoftLoad menu isn't labelled correctly
Reported by: | Cameron Cawley (3514) | Severity: | Normal |
Part: | RISC OS: Boot sequence | Release: | |
Milestone: | Status | Open |
Details by Cameron Cawley (3514):
In the SoftLoad tool, the first option is labelled “Current ROM”, which suggests that selecting it will continue with whatever is currently loaded. When running with the -all parameter, its actual behaviour is to unload the currently softloaded image and return to the version of the OS provided by the physically installed ROM chips. Further confusing things is that the OS version listed for the “Current ROM” option is actually for the softloaded version instead of the ROM version, which also causes the option to not be highlighted by default after rebooting.
