This is a cut-down build of RISC OS (no GUI) that boots straight into BASIC. It was released to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the BASIC programming language.
It is suitable for all models of Raspberry Pi up to and including the Pi 3 version B. It may not work on the Pi 3 version A+ or the Pi 3 version B+.
To download the software, visit the Downloads page and click on RC5 RISC OS Pico.
Unpack this archive and copy all the files to a blank FAT16/FAT32 format microSD card. When this is installed in your Raspberry Pi it will boot into BASIC.
Note: RISC OS Pico does not have a PDF viewer, so the PDF file included in the archive will have to be viewed on another computer.
