This section describes the inner workings of the RISC OS Window Manager. Its purpose is to provide all the functionality required to develop applications that work within the RISC OS Desktop window environment.

An integral part of the Window Manager is the consistency with which RISC OS applications should look, behave and communicate. With this in mind, guidelines are also provided, although for a complete set of, please look at the GUI guidelines within the Style Guide.
