This is a development version of RISC OS 5 for the RiscPC with ARM610/ARM710/StrongARM/Kinetic, A7000/A7000+, and RiscPC emulators such as RPCEmu.
It can readily be tried out by selecting the softload with “Y” when prompted during booting of a ROM resident version of RISC OS. You will also need to ensure the !Boot sequence has been updated to such that no 26 bit applications are run that might otherwise halt booting.
The Kinetic processor card is supported, but currently doesn’t allow DMA in that configuration. Expansion card drivers should fall back to using I/O accesses instead.
Where networking is required use of a network interface card, “NIC”, residing in the motherboard socket is recommended. Those widely available with RJ45 sockets include:
