You’re now ready to wallpaper your screen with your flower sprite.
1. Click Menu over the desktop background.
The Pinboard menu will appear.
2. Choose Configure from this menu:
(Use image “Pinboard”)
3. Drag your sprite file (called Flower
) from its directory and drop it on the Custom image box.
(Use (Copy the “Pinboard setup” image “Configure” from page 105 if desired, or I can take a new screenshot on request))
4. Make sure that Tiled is selected then click Set.
5. Your whole screen will now be tiled with your sprite:

Row 2, column 2: Change “Mask” to “Transparency mask”.
Row 3, column 2: Change “Width and Height” to “width and height” (ie. remove bold and capitals as the boxes no longer have labels).
Row 3, column 3: Change “resize arrows at the bottom of the window” to “resize arrows next to the boxes”.
Row 6, column 2: Change the three bold entries to Colour palette, Mono palette and No palette respectively.
Footnote: I’m not sure whether this is still an issue. Remove if not.

To: Select all sprites within a sprite file
Do this: Click Menu over the sprite file window and choose Selection/Select all.
Notes: You can also hold Select and drag a rectangle around multiple sprites to select them.
(It might be worth removing the third bullet point as it’s not so relevant on modern systems. If you wish to keep it then I suggest changing “it will be loaded” to “it will [normally/usually] be loaded” as ChangeFSI may not be set as default)
(In the table, change the “Camera” image to “Snapshot”)
(Rename section to “Saving Paint application preferences”)
