RISC OS supports the use of Display Power Management Signaling to put displays into low-power states when screen savers or other machine sleep states are active. The OS generally uses numeric values to represent DPMS states, which map to the different VESA-defined states as follows:
Numeric value | VESA state | HSync & VSync state |
---|---|---|
0 | On | HSync & VSync active |
1 | Stand-by | HSync gated |
2 | Suspend | VSync gated |
3 | Off | HSync & VSync gated |
