On some keyboards, the BREAK key is marked PAUSE. If your keyboard has neither key, see Beginners The FAQ:Hardware Break Support key for how to configure another key as BREAK.
You can generate any character on the keyboard (and quite a few that aren’t on the keyboard) by holding down the Alt key and typing the character code on the numeric keypad. For example, Alt-163 would produce a £ symbol with the Latin1 alphabet.
Some special characters can also be produced by pressing Alt and a letter key. The following shortcuts are available with the Latin1 alphabet:

Three keys on the bottom row of the keyboard (the two “flag” keys and the “menu” key) can be configured to perform predetermined actions. This is done via Configure > Keyboard which allows you to assign a command to each of the keys. For example, you can set a key to open a directory or run an application by dragging the appropriate icon to the input field on the Keyboard configuration window.
