These are codes used for different filing systems. Filing system numbers are allocated centrally byROOL; see the allocations page for details.
1 A bug present in FileSwitch 1.70 to 2.74 inclusive would return the incorrect value for ‘None’. Therefore, when checking for ‘None’ with OS_Args 0 the two values &0 and &40000000 should be considered equivalent.
Their codes may be returned by Message_FilerOpenDir.
