New install Set the filetype to "Utility" (&FFC) and double-click on the file. The contents will be unpacked in-situ, after which the contents of the "HardDisc4" directory can be copied to the root directory of the target disc. If you are using a USB flash drive, you can speed up the process by unpacking the archive in a RAM disc (60MB recommended) and then copying the unpacked files to the flash drive. Note for OMAP (BeagleBoard, PandaBoard etc.) users: If you are planning on using this HardDisc4 image to set up a system for the first time, you will need to rename the file to "HardDisc4/util" before running the *InstallHD4* obey file. See [[Generic OMAP port setup information]] for full details of the process. h4. Upgrading an existing system If you are upgrading an existing RISC OS 5 installation, you can use the supplied "InSituBootUpdate" obey file to update the !Boot directory. The remainder of the contents of the HardDisc4 directory (Apps, Utilities etc.) can be used to replace older versions of those applications. h3. Obtaining the software Go to the "Miscellaneous Downloads":/content/downloads/common page and download the HardDisc4 (self-extracting) archive.
